Blynd Essence, Inc. is at the forefront of addressing the challenges of homelessness. Founded by Rizpah Bellard, we provide shared affordable housing for adults experiencing homelessness in Fresno County, CA.

Housing & Mental Health

As a member of Fresno County’s Independent Living Association, Blynd Essence provides shared affordable housing for adults experiencing mental health disorders, severe substance use disorders, or a co-occurring mental health disorder and severe substance use disorder.

At Blynd Essence, we understand the challenges and struggles that come with finding safe and affordable housing, especially for those who are experiencing homelessness. That is why we have created a supportive and community-driven living environment that prioritizes the well-being and success of our residents.

Our shared housing model allows residents to not only have a roof over their heads but also access to a supportive community of individuals with similar lived experiences who are dedicated to helping each other thrive. We provide fully furnished private bedrooms, shared common areas, and access to various support services and resources.

As a member of the Independent Living Association, we are committed to promoting independent living and empowering individuals to live a full and meaningful life. By providing affordable and safe housing options, we are helping our residents regain stability, build relationships, and work towards a brighter future.

Agriculture & Mental Health

At Blynd Essence, we know how important it is that our residents interact with the world around them. That’s why we have partnered with Nova Farming! Through this partnership, Blynd Essence houses Nova Farming’s livestock at one of their independent living home’s known as “The Ranch”. Our residents get to interact with sheep, goats, calves, hens, pigs, and a miniature horse.

Thanks to Nova Farming's livestock on site, our residents have experienced a reduction in anxiety, stress, depression, and loneliness. Listen to our piece with KVPR that speaks to the benefits of living on the ranch.
